Trying to decided on whether to get a minivan or SUV isn’t as easy of a decision as one may think – especially when taking into consideration the needs of a young and/or growing family. All things considered, it’s a pretty important decision. Aside from the obvious, there are differences – and similarities – to both.
For instance, both minivans and SUV’s tend to offer high, upright seating positions, seating for five to eight passengers, extremely versatile passenger and cargo areas, and three way climate control systems. When it comes to keeping kids entertained, a large percentage of both types of vehicles come equipped with rear-seat entertainment systems and/or power outlets for electronic games, portable DVD players, etc.
In regards to safety, both vehicle types are available with air bags, antilock braking systems, and other safety equipment.
In parts 2 and 3 of this series we’ll explore the differences associated with each vehicle type, as well as what might be best for you.
